I have just added a piece of driftwood to my 55 gallon tank. Since I could not keep it underwater, I tied it down to a flat rock with monofilament fishing line. Prior to its addition, I had been soaking the driftwood for over a month (trying to get it waterlogged). Now, all of a sudden, the tank went cloudy. I cleaned my filter, but the cloudiness persists. Before I clean my entire tank, I would just like to know if this problem can be attributed to the driftwood, and if there was something that I failed to do to prepare it for addition.
